Tonya Winder Art
ARTIST STATEMENT
I am fascinated by the commonalities and shared experiences that bind us together as human beings - our Oneness. My art emerges from a deep belief that in honoring our fundamental interconnectedness, we discover both ourselves and each other.
Line, color, shape, and texture convey the myriad emotions associated with challenges and triumphs. Using rich textures and durable wood panels, I create a foundation that supports depth and complexity. The character of paper and canvas allows for a different kind of expression, one that captures delicate and transient moments.
The visual narrative encourages viewers to reflect on their own experiences and the ways in which we are inextricably linked. My work inspires recognition of the beauty and inelegance in our shared humanity.
